Platelet-Rich Plasma

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a non-surgical treatment that utilizes your body’s own healing abilities to naturally stimulate skin and follicle recovery. Isolating the platelet-rich portion of your own blood and re-introducing to the targeted area, this nutrient-dense plasma can promote cell growth, wound healing, and tissue regeneration.

During a PRP treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from you into a sterile tube in the exact same manner as a standard blood test. The tube containing your blood is placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the plasma and platelets from the other blood components. The PRP layer is removed from the same tube and re-introduced into the body at the site to be treated. Injection methods include using a small sterile needle, a microneedling device or automated-delivery device.

Treatment Areas

Face - PRP can help treat acne scars, fine lines & wrinkles, hyper and hypopigmentation and skin retexturization with a facial treatment known as a "Vampire Facial".

Scalp - PRP is also used to treat hair loss in both men and women by stimulating the activity of hair follicles to promote and maintaining hair growth.

How many treatments do i need?

  • VAMPIRE FACIAL: Results can be seen after one treatment, but the exact number of treatments needed varies from patient to patient. Generally, 2‐3 treatments, four weeks apart are advised, but more may be indicated for some individuals.

  • HAIR TREATMENT: Most patients will see results within 2-4 weeks, continued results will be seen up to 12 weeks. We recommend a series of 3-6 treatments administered at 4-6 week intervals, though number of treatments varies by person. A single session is typically recommended after a year to maintain the results.

Is the Treatment Painful?

Some mild discomfort may be felt while the PRP is being re-injected. The sensation typically felt is a burning or tingling sensation. This sensation only lasts a few minutes after the PRP is injected.
